MOBILE, Ala. — A sensational season for Harold Fannin, Jr., became even more historic on Thursday.

The Bowling Green State University star broke the FBS record for single-season receiving yards for a tight end after hauling in a 23-yard catch over the middle during the first quarter of the 68 Ventures Bowl between the Falcons and Arkansas State at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Fannin broke Jace Amaro’s mark of 1,352 yards that the former Texas Tech tight end set in 2013. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound junior, who became the first consensus All-American in BGSU football history earlier this month, entered the game with 1,342 receiving yards this season.
