Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team led for more than 36 minutes of play and defeated Nevada 73-65 on Sunday in the third-place game of the Women’s Basketball Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
The Falcons finished their 2021-22 season at 17-16 overall, marking a second straight winning season under fourth-year head coach Robyn Fralick.
Kadie Hempfling scored a game-high 19 points, tallied six assists and three steals, and was one of three BGSU players to make three 3-pointers. Collectively, the Falcons were 12-of-33 from 3-point range.
Elissa Brett added 12 points, nine points, and three steals, while Morgan Sharps (11 points) and Madisen Parker (nine points) each drained three 3s.
