BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team learned from its previous mistakes.
When Valparaiso blitzed to a 16-3 run to close out the third quarter of Sunday’s game, Falcons coach Robyn Fralick didn’t fret.
Her team gathered and picked up defensive stops down the stretch, and got a massive lift from its reserves in earning a 69-53 victory over the Beacons at the Stroh Center.
Morgan Sharps and Amy Velasco each scored 17 points, but Fralick’s two best bench pieces arrived to their respective points in different fashions.
Sharps made a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter that afforded BGSU a double-digit lead with 4:49 to play.
