BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team will get another opportunity to play in the Stroh Center this season when the Falcons host Liberty in the opening round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Falcons (27-6), who finished runner-up to Toledo in the Mid-American Conference regular season standings and tournament, will face the Flames (24-8) for the second time in program history. Liberty edged BGSU 76-72 on Nov. 28, 2021 in the Navy Classic in Maryland.
The winner will take on victor between Green Bay (27-5) or Niagara (18-12) in the second round of the 64-team field.
