BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University returned following two postponements and an 11-day coronavirus quarantine-induced layoff by thumping visiting Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan 92-68 on Wednesday inside the Stroh Center.
Bowling Green relentlessly attacked the paint throughout the game, scoring 28 points inside and awarding itself 19 chances at the free-throw line in the first half alone. BGSU made more free throws (12) than Central Michigan attempted (seven) in the half.
In total, BGSU went 28 of 39 from the free-throw line, while Central Michigan made 17 of 22 attempts. The Falcons scored 40 points inside the paint.
