MUNCIE, Ind. — The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team could not keep up with hot-shooting Ball State as the Falcons fell 91-80 to the Cardinals on Saturday at Worthen Arena.
Bowling Green freshman Amy Velasco was 5 of 6 from 3-point range on the way to 21 points, which ties her career-high. Morgan Sharps had 18 points for the Falcons (10-9, 5-5 MAC), while Nyla Hampton had 12 points and five steals.
Marie Kiefer was the high-scorer for Ball State (14-7, 7-4 MAC) with 24 points. Ally Beck had 15 points, Chyna Latimer scored 14, Sydney Freeman scored 11, and Thelma Dis Agustsdottir had 10 points.
