Bowling Green women's basketball rolls past Eastern Michigan

BOWLING GREEN — Buoyed by a 54-point effort in the first half, the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team defeated Eastern Michigan 90-76 on Saturday in front of 2,108 fans at the Stroh Center.

The Falcons (7-6, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) led 26-16 after a quarter and 54-32 at halftime. They hit 3 of 6 3-pointers in the first quarter before hitting 10 of 11 2-point attempts (10 of 13 overall) in the second quarter.

For the game, Bowling Green made 31 of 55 shots from the field (56.4 percent) and 22 of 25 free throws (88 percent).
