MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State opened more space between itself and the field in Mid-American Conference women’s basketball play, improving to 11-0 in the league with a 71-51 victory Wednesday over Bowling Green State University at Worthen Arena.
The host Cardinals, who lead the MAC by 2½ games over Kent State pending the Golden Flashes’ result later Wednesday at Northern Illinois, outscored the Falcons 19-11 in the first quarter and went to the locker room at halftime with a 39-20 lead.
Ball State is ranked fourth in the CollegeInsider mid-major poll, behind South Dakota State, Columbia, and Grand Canyon.
