BUFFALO — The University of Buffalo’s Re’Shawna Stone missed a game-tying 3-point attempt in the final seconds and the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team survived for a 64-61 Mid-American Conference victory on Wednesday at Alumni Arena.
The Falcons ran their winning streak to six games and are 17-2 overall, 6-2 in the MAC.
BGSU held a 52-44 lead through three quarters, but couldn’t put away Buffalo (8-9, 3-5) in the fourth quarter.
The Bulls brought it to a one-possession game at 61-59 on Jazmine Young’s layup with 2:44 to go. After Jocelyn Tate scored for BGSU, Young answered with 1:38 remaining to bring Buffalo within 63-61.
