CLEVELAND — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team fell to 1-2 with a 75-68 loss Tuesday at Cleveland State.
The host Vikings (2-1) outscored the Falcons 46-28 in the middle two quarters to wipe out an early 25-10 BGSU edge and take a three-point lead into the fourth quarter. Cleveland State then outscored Bowling Green 19-15 over the final 10 minutes, with the Falcons coming no closer than three points.
The Falcons enjoyed some strong perimeter shooting in the first quarter, making 5 of 6 from 3-point range. Bowling Green’s shooting cooled off from there, with the Falcons going 4 of 17 from beyond the arc in the final three quarters.
