OXFORD, Ohio — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team sprinted to a 22-4 advantage after the first quarter and eased to an 87-52 victory over Mid-American Conference foe Miami on Saturday at Millett Hall.
Bowling Green (11-3, 7-2 MAC) shot 52.9 percent (9 of 17) in the first quarter while holding Miami to a miniscule 15.4 percent (2 of 13). BGSU also made 4 of 8 3-pointers in the opening period. The Falcons closed the final 5:36 of the first on a 13-0 run.
Kadie Hempfling paced the Falcons with 16 points and six rebounds.
