BOWLING GREEN — The lynchpin and backbone of Bowling Green State University’s volleyball team has earned her national due.
Outside hitter Petra Indrova on Wednesday was recognized as an honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Indrova racked up accolades in a season that led BGSU to the Mid-American Conference East Division title and an appearance in the MAC tournament finals. She was also named the MAC Player of the Year, All-MAC first team, MAC All-Tournament team, and the AVCA Northeast All-Region team.
"It is a tremendous honor for both Petra and our volleyball program that she was named the AVCA All-America Honorable Mention,” Falcons coach Danijela Tomic said in a news release.
