BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team used an 11-run third inning against the NIU Huskies to take the first game of the weekend series, 21-1, on Friday afternoon (May 12) at Steller Field. BGSU improves to 17-28, 10-15 MAC, while NIU falls to 8-39, 4-20 MAC.
Bowling Green tallied a season-high 23 hits, including 11 base knocks in the 11-run third inning which set the tone. Every BGSU starter had at least one hit in the triumph as the Falcons platted runs in every inning but the fifth and eighth inning.
