MONTREAL — The Bowling Green State University basketball team jumped out to a 45-23 halftime lead on its way to an 82-61 win over Lipscomb on Saturday in a game that was part of the Northern Classic tournament at Place Bell Arena.
The Falcons improved to 3-3 on the season with the victory.
Down the stretch of the first half, Bowling Green orchestrated a 16-2 surge over the final 5:18. Five different Falcons scored during the run.
Lipscomb actually outscored Bowling Green 38-37 after halftime, but still lost by 21.
Bowling Green’s Marcus Hill went 15 of 23 (62 percent) from the field, leading all scorers with 33 points.
