Bowling Green stays hot, wins 10th straight by topping EMU

YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Mid-American Conference is one-third of the way through its regular season schedule, and the team picked to finish in the last place has yet to lose.

Go figure.

Bowling Green ran its winning streak to 10 consecutive games with an 80-67 victory Tuesday evening at Eastern Michigan.

The Falcons (14-5, 6-0 MAC) — who received fewer points than anyone in the MAC’s preseason poll — are the only team besides No. 14 Buffalo with an unbeaten league record.

BG guard Justin Turner scored 19 points to lead all scorers, Demajeo Wiggins had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Jeffrey Uju and Dylan Frye both contributed 11 in the Falcons’ victory.
