Bowling Green starter Junior to transfer from program

BOWLING GREEN — One of Bowling Green State University’s top defensive players will transfer from the football program.

Kyle Junior, who led Bowling Green in tackles for loss and quarterback hurries in 2018, was not part of the team’s spring football roster released Friday.

Junior made 11 starts last season for Bowling Green with two sacks and 48 tackles, which ranked fifth on the team and first among defensive linemen. His six tackles for loss on the year was a team-best mark.

Junior’s fumble recovery for a touchdown against Central Michigan helped clinch the Falcons’ first Mid-American Conference victory in November.
