Pitcher Payton Gottshall was flawless again for Bowling Green State University’s softball team on Saturday. She tossed her second career perfect game by striking out every batter she faced in the Falcons’ 13-0 win over Green Bay in five innings.
Fifteen up, 15 down.
The sophomore Gottshall (5-2) needed 59 pitches to make history again for the 8-4 Falcons. She never trailed in a count to any Green Bay batter, and seven of her strikeouts were recorded on three pitches. She struck out 12 batters on swinging strikes.
She owns two of three perfect games in program history.
