BOWLING GREEN — The Mid-American Conference regular season title is Bowling Green’s to lose.
The Falcons led by double digits for the entirety of the second half in their rematch with Akron on Tuesday at the Stroh Center, and in the process took sole possession of first-place in the MAC with a 78-60 victory.
With the win, Bowling Green (21-7, 12-3 MAC) also clinched a first-round bye in the MAC tournament, sending the Falcons directly to Cleveland for the MAC quarterfinals.
Thanks to Ohio’s win against Buffalo on Tuesday, BG could clinch a share of the league title as soon as this weekend.
