Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University hockey team has risen back to No. 17 in this week's official USCHO poll. This after the Falcons swept (then No. 14) Western Michigan in a home-and-home series this past weekend (Oct. 18-19). This is the highest BGSU has been ranked in the poll since Oct. 7 when they were ranked No. 17. Western Michigan fell to No. 18 in the poll, just behind the Falcons.
Bowling Green secured a 2-1 victory in their home opener on Friday (Oct. 18) night against the Broncos. The first period remained scoreless with many scrums after the whistle throughout the game.
