BOWLING GREEN — On the day he was introduced last year at Bowling Green State University, Falcons coach Scot Loeffler said the program would return to its recruiting roots, especially in its home state.
When the fax machine began rolling Wednesday morning, Loeffler's goal became a reality.
Bowling Green signed the No. 3 class in the Mid-American Conference, according to 247Sports' composite recruiting rankings, and did so by doing its best work close to home.
The Falcons signed seven of the top 100 players in the state of Ohio, plucked four of the top 75 from Illinois, two of the top 60 in Michigan, and two of the top 40 in Indiana.
