MONTREAL — Marcus Hill and Jason Spurgin came up with key plays late to lift Bowling Green’s men’s basketball team to a 77-73 victory Sunday over Canisius on the closing day of the Northern Classic.
Hill, who led the Falcons with 26 points, scored on a layup with 15 seconds remaining that gave Bowling Green the lead again after Canisius had rallied from a nine-point deficit to tie the score.
"Marcus [Hill] has done such a great job getting to the rack,” Bowling Green coach Todd Simon said. “We just wanted to move the chess pieces and give him a lane.
