Bowling Green men's basketball season ends in CBI quarterfinal

Bowling Green State University men’s basketball had as much as a 15-point lead over Stetson University on Monday in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.

But the Falcons’ lead slowly diminished, as the Hatters went on a 15-2 run to win 53-52. Bowling Green, which played without Justin Turner for the entire game and Daeqwon Plowden in the second half, finished their season at 14-12.

Turner traveled with the team, but was not available to play in the tournament, coach Michael Huger said in a pre-game interview.

Plowden was out for most of the second half with a leg injury after scoring with six points.
