EAST LANSING, Mich. — Bowling Green men’s basketball gave Michigan State all it could handle, but the Falcons’ bid for a monumental road victory came up short.
BGSU, which entered the Breslin Events Center without a win to its name against a Division I opponent this season, led for long stretches by as many as 12 points before the Spartans roared back late for an 86-72 victory.
Bowling Green had no trouble settling into the hostile environment, scoring on each of its first eight possessions to take a 19-12 lead with 14:32 left in the first half.
