KANSAS CITY — The visiting Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team pulled to within a point of Kansas City during the second half Saturday night, but the Roos pulled away for an 85-77 nonconference victory.
Kansas City (6-7), a member of the Summit League, went on an 18-5 run after Bowling Green (4-6) closed things to 57-56 with 14:23 remaining.
Bowling Green hit 51.8 percent of its shots (29 of 56) for the game, including 39.1 percent (9 of 23) from 3-point range. But Kansas City was hotter, hitting 59.3 percent from the field (32 of 54) and 50 percent (11 of 22) from 3-point range.
