Bowling Green men's basketball edges Buffalo on road

AMHERST, N.Y. — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team held on to the lead for the entire second half, pulling out a 63-59 victory Saturday at Buffalo.

Buffalo closed things to 61-59 with 18 seconds remaining on a Kavon Bradford layup. Bradford, however, missed the ensuing free throw, Bowling Green’s Wilguens Jr. Exacte grabbed the rebound, and the Falcons’ Marcus Johnson made two free throws with nine seconds remaining for a four-point lead.

The Bulls’ final 3-point attempt was off the mark.

Bowling Green (10-15, 4-8 Mid-American Conference) led 28-27 at halftime.

Buffalo (8-17, 3-9) stayed in the game by hitting 7 of 16 3-point attempts (43.
