BOWLING GREEN — Visiting North Carolina Central trimmed Bowling Green’s once-comfortable lead to four in the second half, but the Falcons prevailed in the final minutes with a 75-60 nonconference victory Thursday at the Stroh Center.
The Bowling Green duo of Justin Turner and Demajeo Wiggins combined for 42 points to help the Falcons improve to 2-2 on the season.
What happened: Bowling Green used an efficient first half to take control of the game. In the first 20 minutes, the Falcons shot 50 percent from the field (13-for-26) and from 3-point range (4-for-8), holding the Eagles to just 31 percent (10-for-32) from the field.
