ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – Cincinnati basketball started Sunday’s game against Bowling Green with a question answered.
Jaevin Cumberland, initially feared to be sidelined for at least the rest of the tournament and perhaps longer due to a knee injury suffered Friday, scored a team-high 21 points to alleviate those concerns.
But more questions presented themselves by the time the buzzer sounded on the 91-84 overtime loss to Bowling Green in the Paradise Jam semifinals.
As the Falcons (5-1) overcame a 10-point deficit with 3:49 to play, Cincinnati (4-2) star Jarron Cumberland, Jaevin's cousin, remained on the bench.
