ADRIAN — Bowling Green State University’s hockey team followed up last week’s season-opening, 6-2 home victory over Division III opponent Adrian College with a 5-0 win over the same opponent, this time on the road.
The Falcons jumped out in front in the first period, as Max Johnson netted his third goal of the season — he had two in the opener — assisted by Brandon Kruse at the 11:15 mark.
Bowling Green (2-0-0) notched four goals in the second period to blow the game wide open. Cameron Wright jammed in a third-chance opportunity for the Falcons offense 3:04 into the period to give BGSU a 2-0 advantage.
