MARQUETTE, Mich. — Philip Beaulieu scored with six seconds remaining in overtime Saturday as the Northern Michigan Wildcats beat the Bowling Green State University ice hockey team 3-2 in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play at the Berry Events Center.
With the victory, the Wildcats (13- 10-3, 11-5-2-2 WCHA) moved into second place in the league all alone.
No. 14 Bowling Green (12-8- 6, 9-4-5-2 WCHA), which had 4-game win streak snapped in 5-2 loss Friday, got goals from Mitch McLain and Cameron Wright in regulation.
Atte Tolvanen had 19 saves for Northern Michigan. Ryan Bednard finished with 21 saves for the Falcons.
