BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University hockey fought from behind until the third period against Miami (Ohio) at the Slater Family Ice Arena on Saturday. The Falcons trailed the RedHawks on four occasions before BGSU took its first lead at 9:38 in the third period.
BGSU’s Austen Swankler scored on an assist from Coale Norris and Nathan Burke to break the tie at four. Swankler’s goal proved to be the deciding-factor in the Falcons’ 6-4 defeat of the RedHawks.
The Falcons extended their lead with 14.8 left in the third period on an empty net goal.
