COLUMBUS — The Bowling Green State University hockey team could not keep Ohio State in check early in Saturday's game as the Falcons gave up four goals in each of the first two periods of a 9-4 defeat at Value City Arena.
A day after a 5-2 win over Bowling Green at Slater Family Ice Arena, the Buckeyes poured it on early and left no doubt in handing the Falcons their fourth consecutive loss.
Joe Dunlap scored twice in the opening period for Ohio State, including a short-handed goal. Davis Burnside and Michael Gildon added goals in the first to give the Buckeyes a 4-0 cushion.
