MARQUETTE, Mich. — Jackson Niedermayer’s goal four minutes into overtime lifted the Bowling Green State University hockey team to a 3-2 CCHA hockey victory Friday at Northern Michigan.
Ethan Scardina, who scored earlier in the game, assisted on the game-winner. The goal came after the Falcons killed a power play that started 30 seconds into overtime on a Ryan O’Hara slashing call.
Bowling Green (13-9-4, 9-6-4 CCHA) led for much of the third period, taking a 2-1 lead at the 4:10 mark on Scardina’s goal. Niedermayer and Ville Immonen assisted.
Northern Michigan (4-22-1, 3-15-1) equalized with 1:17 remaining when, using an extra attacker, Tanner Latsch beat Christian Stoever.
