BIG RAPIDS, Mich — The No. 7 Bowling Green State University hockey team earned its second victory in as many nights, toppling Western Collegiate Hockey Association rival Ferris State 4-2 at the R.L. Ewigleben Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Bowling Green (11-1, 2-0 WCHA) won its 12th straight road game dating back to last season, setting a program record for wins on the road or at a neutral site.
Ferris State (0-6, 0-2 WCHA) opened the scoring 5:16 into the contest, as Justin Michaelian found the net. Bowling Green, however, answered with a short-handed goal from Taylor Schneider near the midpoint of the period to tie the game at 1.
