BOWLING GREEN — After the conclusion of Friday’s game against nationally-ranked Ohio State, Bowling Green State University hockey coach Ty Eigner said he felt his team played its best hockey of the season.
The Falcons went stride-for-stride with the Buckeyes in dropping both contests of a two-game series by one-goal deficits, including an overtime game at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus on Thursday.
Friday’s main event at a sold-out Slater Family Ice Arena served as a proper encore, as the Falcons once again took the Buckeyes to the wire and nearly forced overtime.
Eigner reaffirmed that thought during this week’s news conference.
