Ryan O’Hara scored in each of the first two periods, helping Bowling Green State University ice hockey to a 4-2 win over Mercyhurst that completed a weekend split at the Slater Family Ice Arena.
The Falcons (2-6) snapped a six-game losing streak, getting in the win column for the first time since the Oct. 7 season opener. O’Hara scored with three minutes remaining in the first period and with 10:43 to go in the second to give BGSU the 2-0 lead.
Mercyhurst (1-4-2) got on the board with a Garrett Dahm power-play goal with 14:30 left in the third, but BGSU responded with goals from Owen Ozar and Spencer Kersten less than three minutes apart.
