Bowling Green hockey adjusting to life on the road

BOWLING GREEN — Home is where the heart is for Bowling Green State University hockey.

It’s also where most of their successes have come from.

The Falcons entered an off week before a home series against Central Collegiate Hockey Association foe Ferris State at 7-4-3 overall and 5-4-1 in the CCHA. Their splits between home and road ice are day and night, with an unblemished 5-0-0 record at the Slater Family Ice Arena and then a 2-4-3 record away from it.

“Our biggest challenge up to this point has been trying to figure out the Fridays on the road,” Falcons coach Ty Eigner said.
