BOWLING GREEN — NCAA Football Championship Subdivision teams can spring upset wins over their Football Bowl Series counterparts.
It’s happened twice in college football this season already.
Bowling Green (0-1) will be hoping to avoid that trap Saturday against FCS foe Eastern Kentucky (0-1) in its home opener at Doyt Perry Stadium.
“We take no team lightly,” outside linebacker Charles Rosser said. “Just because they’re a smaller team doesn’t mean they can’t come out here and get a [win]. Our job is to stop that from happening.”
The Colonels were 7-4 in 2021 despite losing their only game against an FBS opponent 30-3 at Louisville.
