BOWLING GREEN -— In more ways than one, Bowling Green has been here before in 2022.
On Sept. 10, the Falcons lost 59-57 to Eastern Kentucky at home in seven overtimes. The temptation to declare another season lost and coach Scot Loeffler’s tenure over was strong, but Bowling Green picked itself up, dusted itself off, and upset Marshall 34-31 in overtime the next week.
On Oct. 8, Buffalo smashed the Falcons 38-7 in Bowling Green. Nearly everything that could go wrong for the Falcons went wrong in all three facets. Bowling Green responded by winning its next three games.
