Bowling Green football adhering to '24-hour rule' following victory

BOWLING GREEN — The “24-hour rule” also applies to wins.

Bowling Green’s football team defeated Murray State on Saturday for its first victory since Nov. 2019. After a Sunday of basking in the temporary glory, the Falcons were back to work Monday preparing for its toughest test of the season at Minnesota.

“The energy has been ecstatic,” Falcons tight end Christian Sims said at Monday’s press conference. “It’s a great feeling, it’s a great atmosphere, but like [head] coach [Scot] Loeffler says after practice, the 24-hour rule is in effect. We enjoyed the win Saturday, but now it’s time to get back to work.
