BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — The Bowling Green hockey team got a late goal, but it wasn't nearly enough as the Falcons fell 4-1 to Ferris State on Saturday to split the weekend series.
Bowling Green won 6-0 on Friday, but could not find the same offensive firepower on Saturday.
Nathan Burke scored with less than three minutes remaining in the game as the Falcons had trouble solving the goaltending of Ferris State's Noah Giesbrecht.
Giesbrecht stopped 32 of Bowling Green's 33 shots on net.
The Bulldogs got goals from Nick Nardecchia, Caiden Gault, Blake Evennou, and Antonio Venuto.
