BOWLING GREEN — As the prospect of a standard college football season begins to look increasingly unlikely, Bowling Green director of athletics Bob Moosbrugger said schools must plan to play football — and possibly other sports, too — at non-traditional points of the year.
Moosbrugger remained confident, however, of two things: Some sports could safely be played in the fall, and that football will be played during the 2020-21 academic year.
As conferences mull how — and when — to begin the next football season, Moosbrugger said Wednesday that spring football, which has been viewed as a last resort for many administrators across the country, should be considered as coronavirus cases surge in the United States.
