BOWLING GREEN — The competition for the starting quarterback spot on Bowling Green State University’s football team between Connor Bazelak and Camden Orth has been as much brotherhood as battle.
The bond the players have built — despite competing to be the primary signal-caller for the upcoming campaign — has been refreshing.
“I feel like people have the perception of two quarterbacks competing against each other can’t really be friends, but that’s not the culture that coach [Scot] Loeffler’s created here,” BGSU wide receiver Austin Osborne said. “They’re two great guys, I know they’re friends, they help each other out a lot.
