Visiting Ohio University used a late-first quarter run to forge ahead, and the Bobcats were able to hold the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team at arm's length the rest of the way en route to a 69-58 win over the Falcons Saturday afternoon (Dec. 31). The game, the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams, was held at the Stroh Center.
Quiera Lampkins had 21 points to lead the visitors, while Jasmine Weatherspoon had a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Sophomore Carly Santoro led a balanced BG attack with 15 points, while freshman Caterrion Thompson scored 10 points, the highest total of her young career.
