BOWLING GREEN — Brody Waters scored three goals over the first two periods and Jackson Niedermeyer fired a game-winner in the third to propel Bowling Green to a 5-4 win over Central Collegiate Hockey Association foe Ferris State on Saturday at the Slater Ice Arena.
The margin was razor-thin across all three periods as neither team led by more than a goal.
Ferris State (2-5, 0-2 CCHA) got things rolling early when Caiden Gault found the back of the net with 17:04 left in the first period off an assist from Max Itagaki to make it 1-0 Bulldogs.
