BOWLING GREEN — Morgan Sharps was, perhaps, a little nervous when there was a coaching change in Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball program in April.
She was still in the early stages of recovering from a season-ending right knee injury she sustained in the Falcons’ win over Toledo on Jan. 18 at the Stroh Center.
But the energy and drive the fifth-year senior showed while working during the summer to get back on the court spoke volumes to first-year BGSU coach Fred Chmiel and the rest of the new staff.
“I could not put a value on what she’s meant to the team,” Chmiel said.
