BGSU's Craggs plays on the edge, and the NHL is taking notice

BOWLING GREEN — In the middle of the WCHA championship game, center Max Johnson couldn’t help but steal a peek at the Bowling Green bench.

Johnson had the best view in the house as his linemate, Lukas Craggs, went after purple sweaters as if trying to set a single-shift record for hits. Each one drew a louder and louder response until Johnson finally looked across the ice to the visitor’s bench.

“He had one shift where he laid out like three guys in a row,” Johnson said. “I looked over at our bench while I was on the ice, and they were all up jumping around, yelling off the bench.
