BOWLING GREEN — One day after saying the Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team would accept a postseason bid, coach Michael Huger and the Falcons had a change of heart.
In a statement released on Twitter Sunday night, Huger said: “Following a day of reflection since the MAC Championship game, our team has made the decision to not play in a postseason tournament this year.”
The announcement came one day after BGSU played in the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game, falling in a close game with nationally-ranked Buffalo. The Falcons played in the MAC title game for the first time since 2002.
