BOWLING GREEN — Jocelyn Tate, one of the key components of Bowling Green State University’s successful 2022-23 women’s basketball season, announced via Twitter on Sunday night that she is transferring to Michigan State.
Tate, a 5-foot-10 sophomore guard/forward, is following former BGSU coach Robyn Fralick to East Lansing. Fralick took over as the Spartans’ coach earlier this month after spending the past five seasons guiding the Falcons.
Tate started all 37 of the games she played in last season and averaged 10.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. She helped the Falcons finish 31-7 overall in tying a program and Mid-American Conference record for wins in a season; BGSU reached the Women’s National Invitation Tournament semifinals for the first time, as well.
