BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team hasn’t played many games at the Stroh Center yet this season, but the Falcons certainly have had a flair for the dramatic on their home court.
Two games at the Stroh Center, two remarkable BGSU wins in the final seconds in which everything had to go right for the Falcons.
Amy Velasco’s game-winning buzzer beater on a right-handed floater capped off a wild finish in BGSU’s 68-66 nonconference victory over Duquesne on Tuesday. It had a similar feeling to the Falcons’ only other home game so far this season: an 89-86 win over Cleveland State in which the Falcons finished on a 7-0 run in the final 12 seconds.
