BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University overcame several key injuries, a foul-filled second half, and a physical battle to come away with a big win over rival Toledo on Wednesday.
Allison Day scored a game-high 31 as BGSU outlasted Toledo 88-76 in a Mid-American Conference women’s basketball game at the Stroh Center.
BGSU notched its fourth-straight win to improve to 15-2 (4-1 MAC), while Toledo dropped to 12-4 (3-2 MAC).
Day dominated in the post to help the Falcons take a 38-35 lead at halftime. The 6-foot-1 senior and Loyola University Chicago transfer had 19 points at the break.
